Quick Write Terms of Use

Quick Write provides Markdown writing, note management, webpage capture, local file access, export, and optional AI-assisted features. Features, storage methods, and availability differ between Web Note, the Chrome extension, and the Mac app.

You must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. Where Web Note requires an account, provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Subject to these Terms, Quick Write grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Services for personal or internal business purposes. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

You retain ownership of notes, prompts, files, and other content you provide. You grant Quick Write only the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display content to operate Web Note and features you request.

You are responsible for your content, for having the rights to use it, and for maintaining appropriate backups. Quick Write does not claim ownership of your content.

AI features are optional and may use an endpoint you configure or a third-party provider available in your environment. Their outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review outputs before relying on, publishing, or applying them.

Do not send sensitive content to an AI service you do not trust. Third-party providers process submitted data under their own terms and privacy notices. AI output is not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

Web Note stores notes in your signed-in online workspace and supports Markdown export. The Chrome extension and Mac app work with local files or folders you authorize. Uninstalling a local app does not necessarily remove files already written to your device.

Keep independent backups of important content. To the extent permitted by law, the Services do not guarantee that content will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable.

You may not misuse the Services or help another person do so. In particular, you must not:

• Use the Services unlawfully, harmfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person’s rights.
• Upload malware, interfere with security, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Services.
• Use excessive automation, evade technical limits, or impose an unreasonable load on the Services.
• Reverse engineer or circumvent protections except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use AI features or generated output in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.

The Services may interact with Chrome Web Store, AI providers, user-configured endpoints, and linked websites or services. Those third parties control their own services, terms, privacy practices, and availability. Quick Write is not responsible for third-party services.

Quick Write and its software, visual design, names, logos, and other product materials are owned by CCTor or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. This does not include your content or third-party materials.

We may update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, improve the Services, comply with law, or operate the product. When practical, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Some downloaded versions may require updates to continue working.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted and error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CCTor and Quick Write will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities. Total liability arising from the Services will not exceed the amount you paid for them during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not allow them.

You may stop using the Services at any time and may uninstall local apps or use available account controls. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for a serious or repeated breach, security risk, legal requirement, or protection of users and the Services.

Termination does not remove local Markdown files from your device. Online content deletion and retention depend on available product controls, applicable notices, and legal obligations.

We may revise these Terms. The updated version and effective date will be published on this page. Where required or appropriate, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
